The evidence presented includes the fact that it was a Chinese account and Musk’s own whereabouts.
Five days ago, Elon Musk shared that he was playing Path of Exile 2 in the air, thanks to Starlink. The satellite-based Internet company is a subsidiary of SpaceX, a Musk-founded corporation, and Musk was quick to tout its capabilities of being able to play games in real-time without a hitch.
Flash forward to today, and it appears that it wasn’t Musk actually playing Path of Exile. No. According to a sleuthy Redditor, it was likely a Chinese account that Musk was streaming from.

The Username Tells All
Taking to Reddit, the user mounted several pieces of evidence as proof that Musk was not the one behind the account streaming the game. To start, they discovered that at 15:46 of the stream, the username MonkEBiznizz was shown.
Per the investigator, MonkEBiznizz is playing in a Hong Kong realm. Not only that, but there are communication lines that are in Chinese, placing more evidence that it wasn’t actually Musk. Additionally, it appears that Musk was in the U.S., flying from Texas to Florida, which would mean playing on a Chinese server would be unlikely and unadvised.
Of course, all of these are allegations, though the evidence is pretty sound. The user raises the possibility that Musk was either lent the account or lent it himself. Gamers may recall that it was only a month ago that Musk began to claim that he was the world’s best Diablo 4 player, though that was quickly debunked as the leaderboard in reference had 1,000 players and is unofficial. Elsewhere, Musk said he wanted to start an AI game studio to “make games great again.” Ultimately, only time will tell if that ends up happening.
