We all love freebies, and video game freebies are quite possibly the best kind of freebie out there. King of Meat recently opened up its doors to those with codes for the game’s alpha on PC and Xbox Series X/S, letting people try out the game well ahead of release to help provide valuable feedback for developer Glowmade to use for improvements and refinements.
Be aware, if you decide to participate in King of Meat’s closed alpha, you’ll be under a strict NDA to keep your opinions to yourself, so no blabbing or recording/sharing footage for now.
As part of this closed alpha test, TheGamer has teamed up with Amazon to give away a number of PC alpha codes for some of you lucky people to jump in and give King of Meat a whirl for yourself. If you’re in either the US or Europe, you can follow the link HERE and complete one of the relevant tasks to grab your code and get playing.
King of Meat’s alpha kicked off earlier this month on December 4, but will run all the way up to December 14 at 1 pm PST. That gives you roughly four days to try out the game, possibly with some friends if you all grab codes, which is plenty of time to get a feel for the title and find out whether it’s for you or not.
What Is King Of Meat?
If you’re sitting there wondering what the heck King of Meat actually is, allow me to enlighten you. King of Meat sells itself as a co-operative, dungeon-crawling brawler that sees you and a team of colorful characters take on a variety of user-created dungeons. With each dungeon you crawl through made by a player, you’ll rarely experience the same things in each session, and you can even be the dungeon builder if that’s more up your alley.
On top of that, King of Meat has a pretty wild amount of customization options, allowing you to deck out your little guy in all sorts of clothing and cosmetics. If you want even more info, you can actually check out what we thought of King of Meat after our hands-on preview earlier this year as part of our Gamescom coverage.
