To celebrate the upcoming release of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom has released an adorable anime series based on the adventures of Leon S. Kennedy and Ashley Graham. The series allowed Resident Evil 4 fans to discover new versions of the two characters, a departure from the video game’s dark aesthetic.
One of the most anticipated survival horror games coming out in 2023, Resident Evil 4 retraces the story of Leon as he tries to save Ashley, the daughter of the President of the United States, who was murdered by a mysterious cult in a rural village…the village is taken over Spain. Released in 2005, the original version of Resident Evil 4 is considered by many to be one of the best video games of all time, winning several Game of the Year awards. Its remake, due out on March 24, has already garnered rave reviews, praising its emotional tone and improved controls.
In order to welcome the official release of the remake of “Resident Evil 4” , Capcom released the first episode of the animation series called “Resident Evil 4” animation PV “Resident Evil Masterpiece Theater” on its official YouTube channel. The first installment in the series, “Leon and the Mysterious Village,” featured an adorable version of a secret agent searching for the US president’s daughter. Leon asked the villagers about Ashley’s whereabouts, but found that they all had red eyes and spoke a language he could not understand. A villager eventually stabbed him in the head with an ax, causing a rainbow to appear, followed by a message that he was dead. Then, when the protagonist of Resident Evil 4 flies into the stars with a rainbow and an infected dog, he mentions that death is the story of his life.
Although the first episode only lasted less than a minute, Resident Evil 4 fans were delighted to discover an adorable anime version of their favorite survival horror game. In the video’s comments, players praised Capcom for releasing such an original and compelling story for a horror video game, and stated that they would like to see a full series of Leon and Ashley’s adventures. After the success of the HBO series The Last of Us and the growing popularity of video game adaptations in other media , Resident Evil 4 fans are hoping Capcom will turn the series into a full-fledged anime.
Players can get their hands on a chainsaw demo of the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake before Capcom releases more episodes. Some modders have already made this demo available on VR headsets, while others have turned Leon into CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and replaced the infamous Chainsaw Man with Shrek when An eerie fight ensues when the green ogre tries to kill Leon and decapitates him with a dazed look on his face.
“Resident Evil 4” will be released on March 24, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
